OXIGEN salud is a Spanish family company with a history that spans over 50 years. We specialise in respiratory therapies and provide oxygen therapy services in both hospitals and at home. The business is part of the Guijarrón Group, experts in services linked to healthcare.
In its origins, at the beginning of the 1970s, Cesáreo Blanco de Domingo and Pilar Alaber Ferrando established the company to supply compressed medical oxygen to the homes of patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
In the mid-1980s, OXIGEN salud considerably expanded its portfolio of products and therapies in sync with the technological progress in the sector. New services included aerosol therapy, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, and concentrator oxygen therapy... and in the early 1990s, the sector in general redefined itself towards oxygen therapy and other home respiratory therapies.
Currently, in Spain, almost one million patients receive home respiratory therapies. OXIGEN salud aims to improve the well-being of patients while strengthening its position in the market through competitiveness, innovation, technology and top-quality services.
The company also supplies electromedicine devices and medical gases to hospitals and health centres, in addition to food-grade gases and industrial gases for several sectors.

OUR HISTORY
TIMELINE
1973
OXIGEN salud is established, and the health division begins supplying oxygen cylinders at the home of patients.
1984
Introduction of new treatments and equipment for respiratory therapies, such as oxygen concentrators or CPAP, as a result of the progress in research and new technologies.
1998
Opening of new offices in Lleida and Girona
2002
Launch of the first air separation plant in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid).
2004
Implementation in Castilla y Léon with the opening of a new office in Valladolid and the start of the home respiratory therapy service.
2006
Inauguration of the oxygen cylinder packaging plant and liquid oxygen cylinder filling plant in Barcelona.
2009
Start of the hospital, industry and food sector divisions. We become the first company to introduce portable oxygen concentrators for patients with oxygen therapy in Spain.
2011
Opening of the medical and industrial gas cylinder filling plant in Madrigal del Monte (Burgos).
2016
Pioneering the incorporation of telemonitoring in patients with CPAP and the filling of medical oxygen at 300 bar in Spain.
2019
Implementation in Castilla-La Mancha with the opening of new offices in Albacete and Cuenca and the start of the home respiratory therapy service.
2020
Start providing services in Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Levante, Madrid and the Basque Country, and launch of the medical gas cylinder filling plant in Albacete.
2021
Establishment of the new headquarters and new filling plant in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
2024
Building of a new office and filling plant in Daganzo de Arriba (Madrid).
