Many gases are present in one way or another in our daily lives, from food and drinks to household appliances, vehicles or even cultural events.

OXIGEN salud offers a wide range of gases for several applications in the healthcare, industry and food sectors.

In healthcare, we can distinguish two kinds of gases: gases applied as medication and gases applied as healthcare products. Medical gases are gases or gas mixtures aimed at making direct contact with the human body. They are drugs that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) set by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), such as oxygen, medical air or nitrous oxide. 

All OXIGEN salud medicinal gases require a prescription and are for hospital use only. Furthermore, they comply with the Spanish and European Pharmacopoeia and have the authorized documentation published in the AEMPS Medicines Information Center (CIMA).

Gases used as healthcare products, such as carbon dioxide for laparoscopies, or nitrogen for preserving cells and tissue samples must receive approval from a Notified Body for CE Marking Certification under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) (EU) 2017/745.

Through specialised care, the commercial team designs suitable proposals depending on each situation while helping clients choose the best product and means of delivery.
