Many gases are present in one way or another in our daily lives, from food and drinks to household appliances, vehicles or even cultural events.

OXIGEN salud offers a wide range of gases for several applications in the healthcare, industry and food sectors.

In healthcare, we can distinguish two kinds of gases: gases applied as medication and gases applied as healthcare products. Medical gases are gases or gas mixtures aimed at making direct contact with the human body. They are drugs that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) set by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), such as oxygen, medical air or nitrous oxide.

Gases used as healthcare products, such as carbon dioxide for laparoscopies, or nitrogen for preserving cells and tissue samples must receive approval from a Notified Body for CE Marking Certification under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) (EU) 2017/745.

Through specialised care, the commercial team designs suitable proposals depending on each situation while helping clients choose the best product and means of delivery.

Acetylene

A colourless and odourless gas used in metal welding and as a lighting and heat source.

Air

Applied in healthcare and used in ventilators, anaesthesia, resuscitation and as a vector for inhalators.

Argon

Argon is a gas used in modified-atmosphere food packaging, welding, chromatography and excimer lasers.

Carbon dioxide

It is supplied in gas, liquid, or solid forms, depending on the intended application. Used in the healthcare and food sectors.

Helium

Used in industrial leak detection and liquid helium in magnetic resonance imaging in hospitals.

Hydrogen

A gas used as an initiator, a shielding agent in welding, or to hydrate fats in the food industry.

Mixtures

Made up of compressed and homogenised gases they are useful in the healthcare, food and industrial sectors.

Nitrogen

Supplied in gas or liquid form, depending on the intended application, it is used in the industry, food, and healthcare sectors.

Nodolox

A 50 % oxygen and 50 % nitrous oxide mixture with analgesic properties.

Nitrous oxide

Applied in different procedures of the food and industry sectors, as well as in anaesthesia and cauterization in healthcare.

Oxygen

Supplied in gas or liquid form, depending on the application, it is widely used in healthcare and in industry and food sectors.
