Portable cryogenic containers, also known as dewars, are portable containers for cryogenic liquids manufactured with double walls and vacuum-insulated. They are used to supply oxygen, nitrogen, and liquid-state argon and have a capacity of 1,000 litres or less.
The interior lining is made of stainless steel, while the exterior can be carbon steel or stainless steel. Because they are vacuum-insulated, they do not transfer heat and maintain an adequate temperature.
Dewars or cryogenic packages rely on devices that keep pressure within the pre-established limits. They vaporise liquid when pressure drops and can release gaseous state gas when pressure increases. They can supply their content both in a liquid or gaseous state by opening the appropriate valve. They are capable of supplying gas in a stable and continuous flow.
Portable cryogenic containers have relief valves and rupture discs inside the tank to ensure user safety.
The major advantages of cryogenic containers are:
Available capacities go from 30 litres up to 600 litres, depending on the needs of each client.
