Capnography

What is capnography?

Capnography measures the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the patient’s airways during respiration. It is a non-invasive method to measure alveolar ventilation and acknowledge the patient’s metabolic state during mechanical ventilation, in an asthma attack, after using bronchodilators, etc.

The capnograph provides a numerical representation of the patient's inhaled and exhaled CO2 levels.

OXIGEN salud has portable capnographs-oxymeters for at-home patient monitoring.
