Gases for cryogenic cleaning

Industrial cleaning with dry ice

OXIGEN salud supplies gases for industrial cryogenic cleaning. The gas used is dry ice pellets (solid CO2).

This cleaning technology propels dry ice pellets at high speeds on the surface that needs cleaning. With the low temperature of the pellets (-78.5ºC) and the high-pressure impact, the layer of dirt contracts and easily comes off the surface to which it is adhered.

Dry ice can be used to clean different types of surfaces: walls, floors, metallic surfaces, etc. Its applications in the industrial sector include:

  • Cleaning of industrial waste, paints, sealant materials, lubricants, ink, etc.
  • Eliminating glues and resulting waste.
  • Cleaning of industrial moulds and machinery.

Cryogenic cleaning has numerous advantages:

  • It does not produce waste and does not leave moisture.
  • It is a non-abrasive method that does not damage surfaces.
  • No need to disassemble machinery for cleaning.
  • Great degreaser power.

Dry ice pellets for cryogenic cleaning are supplied in different-sized cryogenic containers with a 5, 15, and 20 kg pellet capacity.
